About Us
Who Are We?
Wellmore, Inc. is one of the largest behavioral health and substance use providers in western Connecticut, serving 43 towns in northwestern Connecticut. As a private, non-profit company, Wellmore operates with 260+ employees, and 10 sites and serves approximately 10,000+ clients annually. Wellmore was the recipient of the 2021 Republican-American Reader’s Choice Award.

Our mission is to promote lifetime wellness through a continuum of essential and innovative treatment and support services for children, adolescents, adults, and families - giving them hope for better outcomes and leading safe, healthy, and productive lives.

Wellmore offers timely access to a wide array of behavioral health care services, contributing to better outcomes and a positive impact on the community.
Wellmore's roots date back to 1951 as a child mental health agency providing and facilitating comprehensive prevention, early intervention, and behavioral treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in addition to treating adults with substance use and dependency issues.

Wellmore supports the belief that every client served deserves programming that is effective, supports individual values, beliefs, and cultures, as well as identifies the role that dual disorders, gender, trauma, lifespan development, and socioeconomic status factor in the way that services are facilitated and practiced.

In identifying best practices and keeping current with the modern behavioral health climate, Wellmore has identified and continuously works to implement a culturally competent, linguistically supportive, gender-sensitive, and developmentally appropriate continuum of care treatment within outpatient and intensive outpatient groups offered.
