Wellmore’s annual Festival of Lights, a much anticipated holiday tradition, will be redefined this year, as most of our local goings-ons have had to be. In an effort to keep the event going for its seventh year, this season the fest will be held virtually.
The public can join the effort in support of mental health by participating in a variety of ways, including sponsoring the program or getting creative and decorating trees or wreaths that will be raffled or auctioned off virtually Dec. 9-10. The winners will be announced livestream on Facebook and YouTube, so there is still a level of interaction with the community.
“I am feeling extremely thankful that we were able to keep this event going in light of most everything being canceled,” said Jackie Post, Wellmore’s VP of development. “Collectively, we need to give the folks in our communities events that put a smile on their face.”
